Yarl Geek Challenge Season 8 – Junior

Yarl Geek Challenge Junior is a school level IT competition organized by Yarl IT Hub to encourage school children to use their creativity and create IT solutions

This year’s competition is based on the following areas

  • Mobile Application Development

  • Web App/Website Development

  • Hardware Application Development

  • Innovative product development

Students are free to select any of the above areas to develop their applications. Students are encouraged to form teams within their own schools and use their creativity to develop applications.

All the submitted applications will be reviewed by judges and a selected number of shortlisted teams will be called upon to participate in the 2-day Yarl Geek Challenge Junior event, which happens in parallel to Yarl Geek Challenge Senior selections round.

During the two days of the Yarl Geek Challenge (YGC) Junior event, teams will develop their application prototypes with the guidance of mentors. On the second and final day, teams will demonstrate their prototype (or actual system they have developed) through a presentation. The winners will be chosen by the judges based on the presentation or demonstrations done by each team. Winner selection will happen in accordance with the rules and regulations defined in the prospectus.
